MORTAR BOARD CHRISTMAS ADOPTION

During the Christmas season, the members of Mortar Board donated money to a fund to purchase gifts for a Kearney individual.  The chapter raised $90.00 and purchased gifts for a person in need.

TOPPERZ FUNDRAISER FOR ARC

In November, the Chapter assisted in raising money for an Inclusive Playground being organized by the ARC of Buffalo County. To raise money for this project, the Chapter set up a small booth at Topperz, a local frozen yogurt shop.  Donations were collected through customers placing change in a bucket and Topperz donating $1 for every purchase made that day.  Paloma Mena-Werth, a current member, received a donation from her parents as well.  The fundraiser raised $500 to donate towards the Inclusive Playground!  The playground will be built at Harmon Park.  Construction will begin this summer.
