KEARNEY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TUTORING

As a scholarship activity, the Mortar Board members decided to help KPS by tutoring students.  This year’s lucky school is Bryant Elementary!  Throughout the Spring 2012 semester, each Mortar Board member volunteered to sign up for two different dates to help 5th graders with any homework they may have between 3:15-4:00pm.

Education Rocks!

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

Breakfast with Santa is an annual event held in the Kearney community by the Kearney Area Children's museum. The event allows children to meet Santa, eat pancakes, and participate in many holiday activities in crafts. In addition, the children are encouraged to attend in their pajamas. The event was held on Saturday, December 10^th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Breakfast with Santa is an incredibly popular event in the Kearney community and it is always highly attended. Mortar Board members help set up for the event the night before. In addition, members ran several activities and crafts the day of the event and members also helped clean up. The Children's Museum was couldn't thank the Chapter enough for the help. They said that they would undoubtedly be in contact with Mortar Board for many events in the future.
